Display the addimage plugin dialog (see To attach a plugin to a field) then:

1.Set up an image file-name, see Direct, or an image file-name template, see Dynamic.
2.The units in which measurements are shown may be inches, centimeters or points (1/72 inch): select a suitable unit from the drop-down list in the Positioning panel.
3.Click on the diagram to select a reference point. The top-left corner of the image may be placed at that point or offset from it, see below.
4.Enter a horizontal offset distance and a vertical offset distance in the edit boxes; a zero in both boxes places the image at the reference point.
5.Tick Delete original field box if the field text is not to be shown in the document.
6.Tick Draw opaquely if required.
7.Drawing order may be specified (this is particularly important when an image is drawn opaquely). Choose an option from the drop-down list:
oDraw first on page
oDraw after field
oDraw last on page
8.Click OK.

A "page" diagram is displayed with a "field" area shown as a cyan block. Click on a the corner of the page or around the text origin of the block to set up the reference point and offset direction to be used:
