Configuration
| 1. | Tick check-box to Include text when exporting if required (default is unchecked). |
| 2. | You may opt to run in Debug mode by ticking the check-box (default is unchecked). |
| 3. | If the barcode is unrecognizable, specify what 'Action on OCR failure' is to be taken: |
| o | Provide dummy data (default). |
| 4. | Some bar-code reading devices are "omnidirectional" – they use mirrors to enable them to capture bar-codes presented at different orientations. A mirror command can reflect the matrix columns/rows to restore the original bar-code. Select an appropriate Mirror option from the drop-down list: |
| 5. | The code may be printed so that the edges of adjacent black elements join together, with white elements between, or vice-versa. Select a Colour option from the drop-down list: |
| 6. | Select a Speed option from the drop-down list: |
| o | Fast. Smaller code but at the expense of poorer error-correction. |
| 7. | Performance can be optimized for specific applications by selecting a Mode option from the drop-down list: |
| o | DotPeen used for permanent (engraved) marking of substrate. |
| o | Fax Data Matrix 2D error correction handling makes it the barcode of choice for faxing. |
| 8. | DataMatrix specification compliance grading may be set up: choose whether to switch Verify on or not: |
| 9. | Edge-detection algorithms may be applied to sharpen the contrast at element boundaries; a mask emphasizes the pixels at the centers of the elements. Choose a Filter option from the drop-down list: |
