Code 3 of 9 (also known as BC39) is a simple encoding for alphanumeric characters A-Z, 0-9 and special characters -, ., *, $, /, +, %, and SPACE. The data-text is topped and tailed by a 'start' and an 'end' character – usually an asterisk. Some organizations also include a check digit. Equivalent to Code 39 and Type 39.

The normal height of a Code 3of9 barcode is 0.4 inch, plus mid-section bands 0.2 inches high. There are options to generate half-height (variant 1) and quarter-height (variant 2) bar-codes.

Enter number of mid-section bands (normally 0.2 inch) to be inserted. These bands are half the height of the default (0) barcode (normally 0.4 inch).
